Grab & Go Retail Store

Behind the garage-door façade sits a quick, casual retail space—part convenience store, part grab-and-go for shared workspace and coffee-shop needs. Designed to meet both daily routines and event-driven demand, it drives incremental revenue, encourages upsells during events, and keeps the neighborhood engaged with the Work & Leisure brand, creating a seamless opportunity to connect with both guests and the local community.

Located on Automobile Row—dubbed the heart of the city’s auto district—this former warehouse has been transformed into a multi-faceted destination. From retail and coffee shop to coworking space, event venue, and bar/lounge, every element is intentionally designed to serve diverse audiences, maximize revenue streams, and create a dynamic, connected experience that keeps guests returning.

What if there was a place that could blur the lines between work & leisure, a place to get lost so you could be found.

Transforming a historic warehouse into a modern, inviting space was a delicate balance of preservation and innovation. High ceilings, exposed beams, and industrial textures offered character, but also presented challenges in creating warmth, intimacy, and comfort. Every design choice—from lighting and materials to furniture layout and spatial flow—was intentional, aimed at honoring the building’s raw industrial roots while making it approachable and functional for retail, coworking, events, and hospitality. The result is a space that feels both contemporary and welcoming, where guests can work, socialize, and celebrate without losing the building’s original soul.
