THE OG
Since 2003, the original Brennan’s began as a retail store with a tasting license, quickly evolving into a multi-dimensional destination over the next 17 years—bar and restaurant, cigar lounge, comedy club, shared workspace, and ping-pong parlor. Through every iteration, Brennan’s remained the embodiment of how a business can build a neighborhood and foster community. It wasn’t just a place to eat or drink; it was a hub where stories were shared, connections were made, and everyone felt a sense of belonging. By consistently prioritizing authenticity, engagement, and diverse experiences, Brennan’s cultivated loyalty, word-of-mouth advocacy, and a reputation as the heartbeat of the neighborhood—lessons that continue to inform how we design spaces and experiences today.

COLOR PALETTE

The Stairwell
The staircase was designed as more than just a transition between floors—it’s an experience. Reminiscent of an old European prohibition-era corridor, it evokes a sense of mystery and anticipation, making guests feel like they’re stepping into something exclusive & memorable. This reinforces the narrative of discovery & belonging, turning even a simple walk upstairs into a meaningful part of the overall experience.
the billboard.
The billboard was designed to keep the space dynamic, creating new experiences and sparking conversation with every visit. With a cheeky, irreverent tone—often incorporating political satire—it stays culturally relevant while reinforcing our playful, engaging brand personality. More than decoration, it’s a strategic touchpoint that encourages social sharing, repeat visits, and ongoing dialogue with our community.

"you know what this place is?
this place is a gold mine.
you know what you gotta do
with it? just f*cking mine it."
the LoFi room
The Deadwax Records LoFi Room is a purpose-built record lounge, designed for immersive listening and curated gatherings. Every detail—from acoustics and speaker placement to seating and lighting—is intentionally crafted to enhance sound quality and create a comfortable, social environment. By combining high-fidelity audio with a thoughtfully curated vinyl collection, the space encourages discovery, connection, and extended dwell time, turning casual visitors into engaged members of the Deadwax community and reinforcing loyalty through shared musical experiences.
